Did you know one of the Illawarra’s most loved community markets takes place right here in the Northern suburbs every second Sunday of the month.
The Bulli Village Market is held at Bulli Showground and has become a true destination event for locals and visitors alike. With over 90 bespoke stalls, it is the kind of place you can meet family and friends, grab a great coffee, enjoy a delicious pastry and settle into the relaxed market day vibe.
There is something for everyone. From hand made crafts and unique gifts to street food, fresh coffee, pastries and live music every market day. Food lovers will enjoy gluten free breads, an impressive range of cheeses, olives and salamis, along with gin and wine sampling.
Families are well catered for, with pony rides, a face painter and a sand pit keeping the kids entertained. There are three seating areas available, one undercover and two outdoor spaces, making it easy to relax in the sunshine or stay comfortable whatever the weather.
The market is all weather, dog friendly and runs from 9.00am to 2.00pm. Parking is plentiful and managed by the local Men’s Shed, who kindly ask for a gold coin donation if you are able. It is a small contribution that supports a great local cause. There is no ATM on site, so it is worth coming prepared.
In addition to the regular monthly market, there are also special event markets throughout the year, including Easter and Mother’s Day, which are always popular with families.
It is events like this that quietly remind people why they love living in the Illawarra. Strong community, local businesses, and simple moments that bring people together.
